SAT/ACT

The tests that inspire nightmares for teens all across the country (and the world). But worry not, Ari’s here to help!

  • With over eight years of tutoring experience, I have never had a student get an equal or worse score on their exam from where they started. No need to trust a guarantee, trust genuine experience. Plus, there are no restrictive packages, so you can stay flexible in frequency and lengths of sessions.

  • Why rely on a company to invent questions for you? Armed with over forty official practice exams for each test, I can provide you with practice materials accurate to the test.

  • No middle management. No agents taking your calls. No cracks to slip through. When you work with me, you deal with only me, so you can hear firsthand how your child is doing. Not to mention, it saves you money.

SHSAT

and High School Testing

Specific to New York City, the SHSAT separates the best from the rest for admission to NYC’s top public high schools.

  • Having trouble finding past SHSAT practice tests? That’s because the NY DOE doesn’t want you finding them. Good thing Ari has the practice tests, so you don’t have to depend on third parties writing inaccurate practice questions.

  • The SHSAT demands a different form of thinking than elementary and middle schools provide. Ari can help navigate the tips and tricks to beat this test and get into the high school of your student’s dreams.

  • No one knows a student better than their parent. Advice from parents is accepted an encouraged to ensure no stone is left unturned in making solid educational progress.

General

Academics

Students don’t have to be preparing for a standardized test to get the help they need.

  • Your student needs help studying for a test. Or they don’t understand their homework from the previous week. They’re starting a new school. Or they’re learning English as a second language. No reason is the wrong reason to explore tutoring, and Ari’s here to keep your student confident, prepared, and eager to keep growing.

  • Ari’s tutored students ages 6 and 55, and just about every age in between (though mostly high school and middle school, if we’re being honest). His approach focuses on meeting the student where they’re at, encouraging and supporting them to lead their own academic improvement. And while certain subjects may be outside of Ari’s range (looking at you, AP Calculus), he helps in organizing study materials, quizzing, and direct teaching for nearly every subject across the board.

  • With no restrictive packages holding families accountable to unreasonable session amounts, you can rest assured knowing that flexibility is prioritized; this way, your student gets the support they need when they need it, and they don’t when they don’t. Twice a week, once a month, no answer is the wrong one when it comes to scheduling tutoring for your child.

Writing

Rates

No need to break the bank on overpriced tutoring companies.

When I first started tutoring, I was amazed at the prices my companies were charging for my services.

So I came up with a simple trick: take what my former tutoring company was charging for my services, and cut it in half.

You don’t pay for managers putting you on hold, you don’t pay for overpriced textbooks, you don’t pay for namebrand markups. You’re only paying for tutoring.

Pretty simple, right?
